4Sight buys AccTech, Dynamics Africa
JSE-listed South African tech firm 4Sight Holdings Group announced on April 25 that it has acquired AccTech Systems and its subsidiary, Dynamics Africa Services, for R120 million ($9.73 million).
According to BusinessTech, 4Sight said the buyout of the companies was a strategic move for the group and AccTech would be better positioned to integrate client systems with other industry 4.0 solutions and services offered within the group. The term ‘industry 4.0’ refers to new technologies for automation and data exchange in manufacturing.
“Our objective is to provide industry 4.0 related solution services and implement relevant end-to-end technology stacks across key industry verticals, to help companies visualize, digitize, analyze, and optimize their data, systems and operations,” said CEO Antonie van Rensberg in a statement.
AccTech and Dynamics Africa Services have a strong presence in the African market, providing services in 15 countries and with a reported 1,200 customers in over 43,000 users across the continent. Both companies bring valuable assets to 4Sight Holdings, with Dynamics Africa giving the group access to the fast growing Microsoft Dynamics market in the region.
4Sight Holdings has been listed on the JSE AltX board since October 2017. AccTech and Dynamics Africa Services is an independent software vendor that focuses on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and GP Enterprise solutions.
